Welcome to Maid in Nepal (www.maidinnepal.com). By using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, booking a helper, or using our platform as a client or maid/helper, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional agreements (such as the Client Service Agreement or Maid/Worker Service Agreement) presented when you use the service.
2. Description of service
Maid in Nepal is a platform that connects households and businesses (clients) with helpers and maids for cleaning, cooking, laundry, elderly care, and related services. We facilitate matching, booking, attendance tracking, and payment processing. We are not the employer of helpers; we act as an intermediary between clients and service providers.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You may not share your account or use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
4. Use of the platform
You agree to:
- Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in line with our policies.
- Not bypass our systems (e.g. direct payment or hiring outside the platform in breach of your agreement).
- Treat other users and our staff with respect; no harassment, abuse, or fraud.
- Provide true information and not misrepresent your identity or intentions.
5. Payments and fees
Payments for bookings and services are processed through our platform. Clients pay in advance or as per the chosen package. Helpers receive payment according to the Maid/Worker Service Agreement. Refunds and cancellations are subject to our cancellation and refund policy as communicated on the platform.
6. Cancellation and termination
We or you may suspend or terminate access if these Terms or related agreements are breached. Cancellation of bookings is subject to the rules in the Client and Maid service agreements. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.
7. Disclaimers
Our service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for the conduct of users, quality of work performed by helpers, or losses arising from your use of the platform except where required by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maid in Nepal and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
